2026 Starts from the First Tea Shed Frame

Early spring 2026, Zhiqinghe's work of setting up the tea shed is in full swing.
Despite the lingering spring chill, the Zhiqinghe tea farm is already hustling. Our core mission—building the tea sheds—is moving at full speed ahead.

These orderly rows of silver steel are the new chapter for this tea garden in 2026

In the morning, the tea farm is covered with thin white mist and the air is crisp and refreshing. Amid the tea farm, a fresh stretch of silver-gray scaffolding has quietly taken root across the hillside and is neatly lined up along the mountain’s edge.

Steel pipe frames stand erect on the slopes, just like careful strokes on a blank page. It’s not fully finished yet – but the structure is already clear. Dew clings to cold steel pipes’ surfaces. The workers weave in and out of the steel frames, and you can see their figures flicker between the morning rays and the sharp lines of the steel. The sounds of tools and conversation pierce the quiet hills and fill the worksite and bring the hillside to life.

They are the foundation that holds everything in place and are effective protection when storms strike

Every anchor hook driven deep into the ground is like a solemn vow made to the land. Workers will position each anchor precisely first. And then they pour the heavy, wet slurry into the pits, which flows over every curve, filling every thread until the anchor is completely sealed.

This is more than simple burial – it is a full bonding process. Cement will bite deep into the earth as it slowly sets, turning that cold steel into part of the mountain. It is a quiet process, but a crucial one – one that means every anchor has been entrusted to the earth and has gained rock-solid strength. In the future, as the steel lines stretch tight, they’ll carry the weight of every storm down to this spot, where the concrete and the earth stand together like an unshakable rock.

Every spark they lay down helps shape the shelter's future frame

There is a makeshift workshop converted from an old warehouse below the hill, and now it’s alive with the busy hum. Instead of earth and tea leaves, the air is heavy with steel, oil, and faint rust.

The experienced hands are the ones running the show. They stand or crouch around the long silver pipes, getting everything ready carefully for the build.

Master Zhang is the star here. Beneath his helmet, Master Zhang keeps his eyes fixed on the seam – a blaze of white and orange. Under his steady control, the two pieces of metal are joined together through welding. Throughout the process, the welding wire melts into blazing hot liquid, flooding and sealing every tiny gap. A few seconds after Master Zhang withdraws the torch, the dazzling glow fades, leaving behind a clean weld seam at the new joint. You can also notice that it’s still steaming faintly. And it’ll be one of those countless solid joints that hold up the whole frame, standing firm against whatever wind and rain come its way.

Unlike the main work area up on the hill, this corner behind the canteen is more closely connected to everyday life. From now on, this “steel forest” will live alongside our daily cooking smoke, meal fragrances, and the hum of voices. It’s a shelter for the tea, and a new view for the workers during their break.

Summary: Today is just the beginning. Every steel frame we record today will be a cornerstone of a great harvest.
