Last week, Zhiqinghe’s organic tea farm welcomed a heartfelt visit.

Two post-95 overseas Chinese girls from Singapore made a special point of coming here to find the source of premium matcha. The paths up the mountain were wet and muddy since it rained yesterday, yet this is exactly the pure, natural state of this land. They trudged through the soft mud to reach the tea farm – all to witness where a great cup of tea really grows.

After the rain, mist curled around the lush green mountains. Every row of tea bushes looked fresh and glistening. You could smell the mix of wet leaves, soil, and fresh rain in the air. Standing halfway up the hill, they gazed at this tea garden perfectly preserved by nature and genuinely admired the view. Their experience of this pristine growing environment perfectly aligned with their pursuit of the perfect cup of matcha.
