The period from 1886 to 1947 was a period of decline in China’s tea production. Due to political and economic reasons, the competition in the international tea market failed.
The period from 1950 to 1988 was the recovery and development period of China’s tea production. The government supported and attached importance to it, restored the old tea gardens vigorously, established new tea gardens, upgraded new varieties, and implemented scientific methods to cultivate tea. The development of tea economy was gradually stable. The production of tea ranks second in the world.
