Brief Introduction of The Founder

In 1971, Mr.Yuan Shaohua joined Zhejiang Lin ‘an Tea Factory as process design engineer and director of production technology factory. From October 1979 to February 1983, he studied mechanical tea making in the Tea Industry Department of Anhui Agricultural University, and studied under the famous tea expert Professor Chen Xiang. From May 1984 to September 1989, he was the director of Production Technology Factory of Lin ‘an Tea Factory, Zhejiang Province. From October 1989 to February 1992, he was employed by Hangzhou Tea Research Institute of China Supply and Marketing Association. In May 1990, he was invited to attend the International Tea Symposium in Shizuoka, Japan. In April 1992, Mr. Yuan Shaohua founded Zhejiang’s first private tea research institute – Hangzhou Lin ‘an Oriental Tea Applied Technology Research Institute.

At the beginning of 1992, at the request of the People’s Government of Lin’an County, the Hangzhou Tea Processing Research Institute of China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperation sent Yuan Shaohua, an engineer, to build the Hangzhou Lin’an Oriental Tea Applied Technology Research Institute with a self raised fund of 28,000 CNY under the concern and support of the Lin’an County Government and various departments.
